Are you planning a vacation in the US, but don’t know where specifically to go? It all depends on what type of holidays you prefer. The United States is a country with an extremely varied landscape and cultural diversity, so everyone will easily find a place suitable for themselves.

New York
For lovers of art, architecture and hours of sightseeing: New York will be the best option.
Those looking for interesting places with art should go on a tour of America’s largest cities. There is probably no better place to start such an adventure than New York. The very fact that it mixes a multitude of cultures from all over the world makes it a unique place.
Of the places worth seeing, the Empire State Building should definitely be mentioned first. This skyscraper towering over Manhattan is a true landmark of New York. The best panorama of Manhattan can be captured from the Staten Island Ferry, or from the Brooklyn Bridge, especially in the golden hour the view is amazing. For true art enthusiasts, there is the Metropolitan Museum of Art (“The Met”), the largest museum in all America.
If the ESB is an icon of New York, then you should not forget to see the landmark of the United States – the Statue of Liberty.
Going to the crown is strongly discouraged by many tourists, as it’s stuffy and hot inside, the view isn’t mind-blowing, and you have to book tickets three to even six months in advance. And finally, when you get tired of walking through the concrete jungle, you can always go to Central Park for a rest in nature (definitely recommended!).
What’s Next? Chicago Is a Must!
Certainly, New York itself has a lot to offer, but it’s only one city. The flight from New York to Chicago takes about three hours and we will be in a city that is a real treat for art lovers. There’s first and foremost the Art Institute of Chicago, which is a museum of fine arts, and the interactive American Writers Museum. Once you’ve feasted your eyes on the exhibition in those places, it’s worth going to the Lookingglass Theatre Company, which is considered one of the most prestigious theaters in the world.
And finally, as in New York, as in Chicago, you can rest and relax in Millennium Park. There you will find a well-known sculpture made of steel, called Cloud Gate, which gives the impression of reflecting the skyline of the entire city. In the mentioned park you can also sometimes attend a concert. I was able to do so, and to be honest, it was a great afternoon.
For Those Who Love Risk, Entertainment and Champagne: Las Vegas
The entertainment capital of the world, the kingdom of casinos and money, a paradise for lovers of fast cars and strong drinks, the “City of Sin” – we are, of course, talking about Las Vegas. Nevada’s most popular city is basically one big tourist attraction, but it is not a vacation destination for families with children. The very fact that the most popular cultural site there is the Museum of Organized Crime and Public Order speaks for itself. However, if you are looking for unforgettable (and often not allowed in many other places) entertainment, fine restaurants and modern hotels, this is an excellent destination for you.
For Movie Fans: Los Angeles!
Less than two hours on a plane (from Las Vegas) or a little longer by car and you have the opportunity to see the Hollywood sign known from many films. In Los Angeles film lovers will certainly want to visit or at least see the headquarters of many film studios. The most popular are Universal Studios Hollywood, but I went to visit Sony Pictures. You can sign up for the filming of a series and sit in the audience in the great Los Angeles. The Avenue of Fame, Dolby Theatre or Watts Towers are the most popular attractions, but you can choose to go to the beach instead, which I highly recommend.
Miami: Best Place for Beach Lovers
The direction – the east coast! To Florida, to Miami, associated with vacation movies – the cleanest city in the United States in terms of air, drinking water and green spaces. South Beach is probably one of the most famous public beaches in the whole world, so you should definitely go there. Lincoln Road, on the other hand, is an ideal location for walking, and when heading there, don’t forget your camera!
Something Less Known: South Carolina
Still the east coast! First on the list is Myrtle Beach, a small town located in South Carolina. The main attraction here is a beach resort, where you can relax while lounging on beautiful beaches. Also Broadway at the Beach place is worth to take a look. It houses a shopping mall and an amusement park. A slightly less well-known, but definitely worth a visit, is the city of Charleston, where you can feel the vibe of old American movies.
Dear friends, I won’t lie to you: my four favorite cities in the US are Miami, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. I am sure of one thing: in a country like America, everyone will find a place suitable for themself. If you are planning a vacation in the USA, I hope you already know which destination to choose.
