Is Lloret de Mar a good place for a vacation?
Lloret de Mar is a popular vacation destination, offering beautiful beaches, many attractions, and entertainment. It has a sizable accommodation base, is easy to get to, and there is a great selection of restaurants. Although quite a few people love Lloret for its holiday atmosphere, it was already quite crowded for me even in the low season. Therefore, if you want to avoid crowds or are looking for an intimate vacation destination, then Lloret de Mar is not the place for you. ?
Beaches in Lloret de Mar
One of Lloret de Mar’s greatest assets is its beaches. The beaches offer a wide range of destinations, from large, crowded beaches to quieter, more intimate coves.
The largest beach, Playa de Lloret, is right in the center of town. It is a sandy beach about 1,630 meters long. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas in season or bring your own beach gear. Playa de Lloret also offers many other activities, such as water sports. Boat, jet ski and pedal boat rentals are possible in the area, making it an ideal vacation destination.
There are also many other beautiful nearby beaches, such as Fenals and Canyelles. Other beaches in the area include Santa Cristina and Treumal. The aforementioned beaches are smaller, more intimate, although Fenals is also well-known. Nevertheless, all the beaches are excellent places to spend time with family and friends.
The Lloret de Mar area also has no shortage of beautiful bays and rocky coastlines that offer secluded spots for beachcombing. Be aware, however, that some coves can be difficult to reach. Sometimes they require hiking or climbing or even renting a boat or kayak.
What else besides sunbathing and swimming in the sea? The Costa Brava is also ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling due to its crystal clear waters and picturesque marine life.
Whichever destination you choose, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature of the Mediterranean and the pleasant climate of the Costa Brava.
